Hi everyone,
Welcome to my first blog for Purple Cherry Photography! After having this site for over a year now, I wanted to make it a bit more personal, offering an insight into the work, training and thoughts that has been taking place!

Both last year and this year has brought some interesting corporate work with The Times Newspaper on their national Spelling Bee contest, unfortunately I was only able to share a few photos from last years jobs as this year my photos are all tied up in their contracts!! The events were great though, the kids were unbelievably clever and it was a pleasure to photograph for The Times!
Since then I have worked on some Charity events for Thames Valley Hospice Care, shooting their Summer 'Go Wild' Fair in Windsor and the Santa Dash in Bracknell. It was great to work with a local charity and it definitely felt good to give back and have fun at the same time.
I was also lucky enough to get a gig at the Isle of Wight Festival last year with DJ Hero! This was quite an experience as I hadn't attended a festival before, so not only was this great fun, but I also got the opportunity to take some great festival photos in the breaks. I was asked to photograph some guys playing DJ Hero on the main stage....scary, but who else can say that the first time they went to the Isle of Wight festival they end up on the main stage!!! After a nerve wracking couple of weeks waiting to hear back from the organisers I finally got the email to say that my photos had been published in Nuts and Mix Mag. So I not have photos in print!
I am looking to take some training photography workshops over the next few months, so I will be sure to update my blog page when I do!
Thanks,
Alex
